How to make psn downloads faster?

I have a wireless connection. Use the Router Netgear (wireless Router). It takes me about 2-4 hours to download a 700mb download. People say its the Ip address. How can I fix this problem?

1. PSN is a terrible service. People say that PSN is better than xbl because its free, but because its free the servers are terrible and bad game play. So don't expect any improvment only to maximise your bandwidth by closing all other internet applications while downloading. Personally if your an online gamer, then Xbox live is so much more superior to PSN. And before you presume im a fanboy I do own both consoles. i just dont play either of them :p
